House Vasil is located in the village of Dobarsko, on the southern mountainside of Rila. The village is situated 14 km. north of Banya, 18 km. north-east of Razlog, and 20 km. north of Bansko.
House Vasil is for everyone who loves the beauty and peacefulness of the mountains, the comfort of a real home, the delicious meals and the merry surrounding of one`s family and friends.
The house is situated in the village of Dobarsko, famous for its 25-meter high waterfall called Shtrakaloto as well as for the healing powers of the water of the holy spring of the church St. Teodor Tiron and St. Teodor Stratilat. Unique views of Rila, Pirin, and the Rhodope mountains are revealed here and guests may easily visit the local landmarks.
House Vasil is a three-story house. On the ground floor there is a cozy living room and dining corner with sofas, armchairs, internet connection, coffee table, eating table and chairs, a fireplace and TV set. One private bathroom is also on this floor. In addition it houses a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and stove. We are happy to prepare for our guests unique local dishes like shupla, banitsa, buhti, katmi, chomlek, kavarma, salads and many other specialties.
The five double rooms and the mansard suite for the guests are located on the second floor of the house. All rooms are locally heated. House Vasil can accommodate a total of ten guests.
Double Rooms:
Three of the double rooms have private bathrooms and two double rooms share a bathroom. All rooms have private TV set and all rooms have terraces with beautiful views and are heated with wood-burning stoves.
Mansard Suite:
House Vasil also offers a mansard suite. The suite is furnished with four single beds, a small living room with sofas, a terrace, a private bathroom with shower and WC.
Activities:
The magnificent garden of the house is suitable for children`s games and for relaxing in the fresh air.
For additional payment, we gladly organize folklore programs performed by one of the members of the groups of the unique Grandmas from Dobarsko. Demonstrations include knitting techniques, especially the makrame technique, and weaving in the crafts studio At Deshka`s. We also arrange for short and long excursions and outdoor picnics.
Among the main landmarks of the village of Dobarsko and its region is the church St. Teodor Tiron and St. Teodor Stratilat built in 1614, the 19th century church Sretenie Gospodno, the chapels St. Ilia, Kopana church, St. Mother of Christ, the Shtrakaloto waterfall and other attractions. We are happy to arrange with you picnics and walking tours to all these interesting places the region can offer.
